Rene Descartes had an interesting philosophy on this, believing that if we think, we exist. Descartes tried to see everything as non existing because a shadow demon could convince him of it, but eventually came to the conclusion that he could never be convinced that he doesn’t exist, because there has to be a him to BE convinced. Thus creating the phrase, “Cogito sum” or “Cogito ergo sum”, meaning “I think so I am” or “I think therefore I am”.

According to this video, I was both Alive and Dead 2 times in My Life. When I was in 3rd grade, I fell off the monkey bars in the school playground, was unable to breath, and had to be resuscitated and 2. When I was 12 years old, I fell through the ice and was swimming around trying to find the whole I fell through and someone else had to take another hole in the ice for Me. And when I swam up through the other hole, I had to literally force Myself to breath.

I though Rovelli was a dubious science popularizer - although I cannot judge his merits in science. And of course nobody can beat Antonino Zichichi: I met him once some 25 years ago and he seemed an idiot to my 16 years old self.
