Could quantum computing solve the three-body problem? Neil deGrasse Tyson and comedians Jordan Klepper and Tiffany Haddish discuss how quantum computing will change the world with theoretical physicist Michio Kaku live at the Beacon Theater.

What is quantum physics? We learn how quantum computing differs from traditional transistor computing. What is a qubit? What does quantum computing have to do with the many worlds hypothesis? We talk about how Mother Nature is a quantum computer and how quantum computers compute in the multiverse.

What does a quantum computer look like? We break down Schrodinger’s Cat, the superposition of states, and how information travels faster than light between entangled particles. What sort of programming language would a quantum computer use? Find out what will go obsolete after quantum computers and what mysteries we could resolve.

Could quantum computing change experimental science as we know it? Explore how quantum computing will help us discover what happened before the Big Bang and how to achieve a wormhole using negative energy. How would quantum computing escalate AI? We discuss where humanity is on the Kardashev Scale and utilizing the power of atoms. All that, plus, what is beyond the quantum computing revolution?

Thanks to our Patrons PaceOfSpades, Dale Engele, Amr Badawi, Elizabeth Rosalen, Dennis Kutzen, Martin Kjær Jørgensen, Poop Poop, William Jefferson, John Bigelow, and Patrick Scheidegger for supporting us this week.

How Do You Think Quantum Computing Will Change the World?

This talk would have been infinite better with just Neil and Michio 🤷‍♂️

Disappointing! Right when someone asks a helpful clarifying question, one of the comedians chimes in with a poor joke that derails the convo.

Hats off to Michio Kaku's ability to avoid useless comments. I want that chillness

Michio Kaku is one of the rare gem of this generation and it wasn’t appropriate having these two comedians here. Chuck Nice might have got more intrigued by this conversation.

I personally prefer to have Chuck in all things star talk because he shows great interest in science and is at a point where he can participate in the conversation and come up with observant and surprisingly deep questions and as always has great comedic timing

I love listening to Neil and Michio. Both of you are amazing! 🤩

Wish I could watch it just with Kaku and Tyson

Very very educative. 👍
I think the idea of bringing the comedians is to make the conversation very engaging especially when they interjected from an uninformed angle. Just to douse the many complicated terms being used.

Michio has an incredible mind, it was hard seeing him get cut off by the “comedians”. Detracted from what would have otherwise been a great talk. I think a lot of us just want the science.

As much as I love StarTalk, I would've preferred this one with just Dr. Tyson and Dr. Kaku.

This interview consists of four primary input variables: Jordan AND Tiffany, OR Neil AND Michio.
Now for this video to be logical, we input all four of them into a K-Map. We must then simplify the Boolean Expression by eliminating the unnecessary AND's by cancelling out Tiffany AND Jordan. We are therefore left with a more efficient Boolean equation only consisting of Neil and Michio in this video.

Watching this really makes me appreciate Chuck nices’s ability to process information and not be overbearing with his jokes and miss on obvious social cues

Those two “comedians” were lowkey getting on my nerves, interrupting michio and everything

The importance of Chuck is felt in such videos. He is funny but also smart & witty with his questions & interjections.

Great talk, but yeah, the comedian element was cringeworthy. Might want to reconsider who to include next time.

So awkward how Michio just wants to get on with the science and both Jordan's and Tiffany's jokes just interrupt him. Love Jordan but he didn't feel appreciated. Love Michio but this was not a great forum for him. Love Neil but he was just facilitating the awkward mix. Never seen Tiffany but this sure wasn't a good fit for any of them.

I’ve wanted this exact video from startalk, but they brought comedians that obviously made Michio uncomfortable
