Thank God they loved him so much that they finally did the right thing by bring it to a sanctuary. No matter how cute they are, they need to be with their own kind the sooner the better, so they can learn the social skills they need to be with other lions. I had a team of Siberian Huskies. Sadly in 2023, the alpha female Meka and her mom Harley died, 7 months apart, both due to different cancers. After Meka passed away, the pack never played together again, both the mom and Kash her brother and alpha male were very depressed and stopped eating for a while. Once mom died, Kash began to cry when he slept and while awake for the first 6 months, it's still hard getting him to eat every day. Thankfully he still has his 1/2 sister Kylie to keep him company. I know these are dogs but this breed needs a pack to live life to the fullest, just like this cub needs a lion family.
