A lion cub being kicked by a buffalo has nothing to do with “environmental changes.” Most lion cubs die in their first year of life. It’s been that way forever. If it wasn’t a buffalo it would have been a hyena, leopard, wild dogs, a poisonous snake or even an adult male lion. It’s a dangerous world on the savanna for a young vulnerable lion cub.

Watching junior lay on his side, eating his final meal before being left by his mother and pack is heart braking. Nature is cruel and I wish there was no heart ache in the world. I feel for everyone and every animal that suffers… I can’t imagine what junior felt when his pack left him behind because he couldn’t keep up. A quick death might have been less painful than the heart ache he felt before either dying from hydration or being eaten alive …
