This is the cute moment a lion cub stands up to his father for jokingly picking on him - prompting its mum to get involved and defend her offspring

Chicago's Lincoln Park Zoo named their newest cub Pilipili after he was born March 15 to 3-year-old lioness Zari and her 4-year-old mate, Jabari.

Since his arrival, Pilipili has become quite the attraction, with visitors cramming to get a quick look at the three-month old lion cub.

In the video, dad Jabari can be seen persistently swiping his little one's paws from underneath him causing him to fall over.
