I'm an actual professional lion expert so let me explain this video for all of you armchair lion experts. The "attacking mother lion" was not "attacking" and she was not "concerned for the cub's safety". She is in fact an immature female and is possibly even the daughter of the "Karen" lion from a few years back. She ignores the cub and makes a playful gesture towards Karen because lions like to play when they are bored. But Karen was in no mood for playing, especially so close to the delicate newborn cub, so she reacted with aggression. The males then attack to defend the cub. Then Karen stopped attacking as a cue to the males that they should also stop.

The cub didn't even feel threatened, he walked up to her as if he knew her and probably was the mother's sister. I guess that makes sense.
