2022 Lexus NX 350h review - The best family hybrid? (premium pack/test drive) UK 4K

My first time trying a Lexus and I'm pretty impressed! Would you like me to try more from Lexus?

I bought the sport luxury here in Australia. Still waiting for delivery but test drove one last week. ( the first new models just arrived) I’ll admit I’m not a car guy but my neighbour just got a new X3. I was panicking I’d made a mistake but after seeing the new model in the flesh, I have no regrets.

Great video (again). Just selected a Q5 but wish I'd seen this first. The interior of this Lexus is way, way better than the previous gen and, as a package, it is a serious contender. Good review as always niece Tish. Here are some things I wanna point out;

I call Lexus the king of quality, in terms of materials and reliability.

The rear of the Lexus NX has Lexus badging spelt out, which is also present on the new Lexus LX.

The PHEV NX is actually the RAV4 Prime underneath, since it gets the same powertrain.

Great review, really informative and the way you referred to the cars bhp and not hp was a small but accurate point imho 👌 One of the most comprehensive and well explained reviews I have seen on this car. I have a German model presently but will be buying this next, and it will be the MHB. Apart from the increased cost of purchase, a plug in won’t be that cheap comparatively as electricity prices rise, also the extra weight of bigger batteries in a plug in will increase wear and tear on tyres etc and fuel economy as you are driving with a big battery that weighs more. Not sure how it will affect handling either ? An extra. £10, 000 for a plug in buys an awful lot of fuel at my 10, 000 miles per year driven.
As battery technology improves as well what will a plug in or full EV be worth, surely depreciation will be more as the old battery technology becomes less desirable ! The mild hybrid for me is the far better option, unless I could write the costs off against tax to a business, then it might be different decision.
My next door neighbour has a plug in and doesn’t bother plugging it in which kind of defeats the object and I think I might fall into his bad habits 🤔
Lastly I think is the price of the Lexus over an Audi or VW will be less for a similar equipped vehicle, if these features are available in the German models yet and as benefits of us being free to trade with other nations become a reality we will reap benefits, so for Lexus and Japanese vehicles generally the price may well be less.

That was a really good review. I'm in Australia, so specs are somewhat different. I haven't driven the new NX yet, but am keen to do so. How was the ride with the 18inch wheels, as other reviewers seem to indicate they provided best ride quality?

Does base mode have any kind of lumbar support..!! I would like to see a driver sided manual seat adjustments and if any kind of lumbar support available..!!
