2022 Lexus NX 350h review - the hybrid luxury SUV that ticks all the boxes? | OVERDRIVE

Lexus India recently launched the second-generation Lexus NX 350h in the country with prices starting at ₹65.90 lakh. This luxury SUV is the only hybrid in its segment but it also marks the beginning of a new chapter for Lexus, both in how it's cars look and feel, and in how accessible the brand is. Much better than the Mercs, BMWs, and Audis. The only reason most people buy those cars is just because they are popular brands.

Looks dashing, fantastic infotainment system, terrific mileage with that hybrid powertrain, very smooth and comfortable, stands out from the crowd and has that legendary unbeatable Toyota reliability. What's not to like here?

With the abysmal space and sad interior colours coupled with the unjustified price tag, this too shall fade away in the Indian car market.

You should not never choose a car because of the brand.
The car and its model must be earned in order to be bought.
Lexus is no heaven or makes you feel blissful.
It does not automatically mean that it is the best possible choice.
Not even every time.
The comparison is always worth it.


In the series where the Lexus nx is,
it has a Volvo xc40, Toyota rav4,
BMW x1,
which are safer than the nx.

Neck injuries occur with a 46% probability on a Lexus nx ride in a 50km/h (35mph) crash test where a dummy ( doll ) was used.

Lexus nx is cheaper.
The Rx has a larger interior.
In a crash test using a dummy (doll),
rx is safer than nx.

The Lexus rx competes in a different series for the price range.
It includes, for example,

and rx are not among the top three.

Lexus rx and Lexus es are propably the best and most reliable car models of the brand

The value of a new Lexus nx car will fall by 45% in five years,

I choose the sedan car model myself.
Toyota Camry is at least safe,
car crush test 5 star in every segment ( unlike suv -> 4 star ),
although not the best in all areas,
cheaper ( than most suv ),
better reliability ( than most suv ),
better fuel economy ( than most suv ),
+ all wheel drive if you want.
