Georgia woman Melody Walker Farris faces several criminal charges including malice murder and felony murder for allegedly killing her husband, Gary Farris, and torching his body in a burn pit. Police initially believed Gary had suffered a medical issue and then fell into a fire on his property, causing his death. But, investigators later discovered a bullet found in his rib bones, leading authorities to suspect foul play. A phone call between Melody and her lover allegedly proves she committed the crime. If convicted, Melody faces life in prison.

Having pictures at your wedding of your mom with another guy is wild 😂

My goodness! Scott wasn't a bum. He served his country.

whoever bashing Scott has never gotten their hands dirty on a ten-acre livestock farm, not to mention home maintenance. the family did not have to shell out 100, 000.00 bucks for Scotts college/party time. Scott served his country and risked his life. he was still very young and his dad obviously wanted him there Dad was able to focus on his corporate law agenda and not worry about the house and farm, not to mention the theft that goes on when you hire people to do odd jobs. every time I hire a crew tools vanish.

Defense keeps saying Melody was a “stay at home mom”. Kids are all grown adults. Melody get a job and divorce the husband you don’t love. She stayed for the cash

The children so far seem genuine to me. Why would any one of them kill their father when they were so angry with their mother for her blatant behaviour at the wedding? The photos show Rusty and Melody very lovey dovey. Ugh!!!

Defense attorney with every witness, “now I’m gonna kinda bounce around”.

The world. 🙄

I believe the children. The boys are more bitter but that doesn't mean it's not the truth

To kill your husband or your dad in this manner then burn the body to cover up is beyond comprehension.

Some of these comments, and also in chat, are acting like these kids were nothing but mooching off their dad! Smh! All three worked! There is nothing wrong with parents helping their kids. If they are able to!
The problem was the weasel witch, mother! She was ALL about MONEY and AFFAIRS! The evidence points to her, and her only! She was the only one home with Gary on July 3rd, after they all went for lunch! Scott comes home that evening, and the burn pit is burning! Melody is guilty!

Why does Melody think she is so special that she doesn’t have to stand when the jurors come out?

Melody cares about one person’s needs, her own. Her blatant disregard of her children’s feelings is horrible.

The only person who will ever know the actual truth of when n how he died is this evil woman. He gave her everything n she reduced him to near ashes. Her children n grandchildren she didn’t love. She ruined their lives n hers.

Does this lawyer know that it’s not a crime for a Dad to pay bills for his son? Jump around? This guy is horrible. I would never hire him.

Defense is DESPERATE. So what if the daughter borrowed 3k from her dad? Totally irrelevant

The defense is really reaching here, aren’t they?

As a reminder: Detectives investigating the 2018 death of an Atlanta commercial real estate attorney suspected his wife soon after locating DNA evidence connecting her to the crime.

Investigators became even more convinced Melody Farris was involved in the death of her husband, 59-year-old Gary Farris, when they interviewed her boyfriend about a phone conversation one day before her husband's smoldering remains were discovered, Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Det. Daniel Hayes testified Friday at a probable cause hearing.

Rusty Barton, engaged in a long-term affair with Melody Farris, said she told him, ‘He’s on the burn pile, ’” Hayes said.

“Rusty said, ‘What?’” the detective said. Melody Farris repeated: “He’s on the burn pile, ” he said.

That poor, poor man and his innocent family members. My heart breaks for them!

Wow, Melody's lawyer stating that "you're Gary's favourite" was very inappropriate, and I wish her daughter would have said, "How is that statement relevant?"
