If ever a musical instrument had all the beef and all the welly, it's the theorbo.

Just a recommendation, if you show a cool instrument, you might consider letting us hear it. Its a bit more engaging.

This instrument is straight out of a comedy. The normal lute doesn't cut it anymore, so I present:

'Not pazzazzy enough' - that's got to be the worst reason to get rejected

So glad I didn’t get to hear what that stupid thing sounded like.

How the hell do you tune that? You'd need a taxi to get to the tuners on that second neck!

This is worth a proper video, not a short in a difficult to watch format

You’d need a ladder just to adjust the second neck

Cheer~~~a plucked stringed instrument with a long neck bearing frets and a rounded body with a flat front that is shaped like a halved egg.😊

Helping to finish the video (for entertainment only, may not be true): after the evolution of Lute, it got too big, too many strings. Became hard to carry and inconvenient for players. At the same time, an instrument called guitar with six strings may compensate the size issue. As a result, chitarra rise up, lute gradually lost in classical music. So small size has its own advantages.

OMG!!! Stop showing us these exotic instruments without showing us what they sound like. What's the point? Otherwise it's very fascinating

Thanks for the info but disappointed you didn't play the instrument 😢

No you're not playing a lute with an extra neck, you're talking about it

You play theorbo, I play the oboe. Pretty close I guess. By the way those sounds holes are insane how would you even do that with it breaking?
