A Kansas waiter was excited at the prospect of a $20 tip left under a ketchup bottle, but on closer inspection he realized it was a fake. A customer had actually left 17-year-old Garret Wayman a religious pamphlet disguised as money. The pamphlet started with: "Don't be fooled! There is something you can have more valuable than money." Garret told INSIDE EDITION that the customer has returned to the restaurant leaves the same disguised bible pamphlet instead of a real tip each time. #InsideEdition

Mix it with a real 20 and you got yourself a person that's willing to think about it.

As a Christian I can say that jerks like this shouldn't do what they do. Leave a $20 and a note, don't just juke em out.

I’m a Christian, but I would have just given the waiter a real 20. Giving that guy a fake 20 just comes off as a scamming.

This is truly disgusting honestly! I’m a Christian and would NEVER even consider pranking a hard-working server like that, neither would anyone else from my church!

As a christian this is really mean. He might need a tip to fund for collage or support his family

Next time just serve him the bible and say, "theres something more important than your food"

Didn’t Jesus say to give to the needy? That customer probably didn’t even care if the kid bought a Bible. He just wanted to save a few bucks.

IMO this is honestly worse than leaving nothing at all. As a waitress I’d be more offended receiving this than nothing at all

As someone who has worked as a server for about 2 years, I’ve never personally had this done to me, but have had coworkers that have been left something like this. Honestly not cool and to disguise yourself as someone spreading religion when in reality just not wanting to pay a tip is just horrible. If these people actually just wanted to teach people, they would leave a tip and a pamphlet

Next time he comes and orders a sandwich, put a picture of a nice sandwich on a plate and serve him

I'm Christian and everything, but doesn't God want you to do good? Like at least give the waiter money jeez. I bet some waiters/waitresses don't even read the pamphlet tbh but that's what I think Idk

I don’t think he’s religious, I think he just carries around a bunch of these to get away with not tipping 😂

if this guy wanted the waiter to join Christianity, you shouldn't lie.

When I have to pay my mortgage, I'm going to tell them the same thing.

Someone did this to my kids on Halloween. They ran to me saying “mommy I’m rich”
They were so upset.

if someone left this in the middle of the street and you found this, it would be pretty funny but when servers rely on tips this is just cruel.

That's a good way to tick someone off and make them not want to be religious.

I am a Christian and I'm all for evangelism. That fake twenty dollar pamphlet would be OK to be left somewhere random. A server deserves the tip he or she earned. This gentleman makes all Christians look bad.
