You also cannot access hardware directly from wsl. Hence, for things like machine learning with TensorFlow, you cannot use a GPU and benefit from threading (as it works in Linux, but not in Windows, at least for version 1.15)

Definitely a plus if you work in a company that doesn't allow you to dual boot to Linux or use a virtual machine!

Thought I couldn't access this anymore, my bad. I stand corrected! Windows fixed this in wsl2! yay!!! We now get GPU acceleration!

Not a very strong argument. I can do all that in windows, so why wsl?

Windows developers don't need to use Linux. It's for embracing other developers to come to Windows.
