*Microsoft recommends upgrading to Windows 10* still haunts me to this day.

It's crazy to think Windows 10 came up 5 years ago already! Makes me feel like I get old at exponential speed rate.

Edit: wow you all really took this and ran with it. Windows 10 was named as if it was going to be the last version of Windows, and the tech press thought it as well, and it’s likely that you thought it was the last version of Windows until 3 weeks ago.

Original: I’m pretty sure they named it “Windows 10” because of marketing. Imagine if the last version of Windows was “Windows 9”.... that’s just so incomplete. Windows 10 makes it feel complete and truly the last version

Those times of Technical Preview and first Windows 10 release are now so nostalgic...

I think the color changing setup screen is a very smart idea. The progress is an unknown. But nobody likes staring at one of those progress bars that goes back and forth. The color changing gives you something to know it is not frozen without drawing all of your attention to one widget, like staring at a clock all day.

Windows 10 is definitely my main Windows operating system as of late 2015, so this video is educational. Good job on it!

Continuum, man that word summoned old dark memories of WP.
I was a staunch user of WP, ran with it until the very end. Started with WP7 with a Lumia 610. Got sidelined when it couldn't upgrade to WP8 and stuck at WP 7.8. Alright then, got a Lumia 925 (which was cutting edge at that time). Promised Windows 10 Mobile along with all the great features. Got thrown off the bus again (granted, technical issues, but still). Started to lose faith, so picked a 640XL instead of a flagship 950.
Then nothing, with this and that, the whole ordeal feels like beta software througj and through.

Jumped to Android. I like WP but man it was troubled and full of broken promises.

14:45 You can still create a local account with internet connected in Windows 10 Pro. It's the home version that has this lock.

I remember gleefully joining that Insider program and watching the OS come together. I joined on while it still was basically Windows 8.1 with a start menu and windowed Metro apps.

I've been waiting for this one! I remember going to my dad's workplace 5 years ago (I was 9) and him asking me to do what I wanted. I was playing flash games on one of the workstations and he asked me to install windows 10 on all the 5 computers in the workplace. I felt so important. Shame that place got shut down.
