He did his time, and quite a bit of it for an 18-year old being with someone 3 years younger (not excusing it, but it’s a lower level on the totem pole). He’s accountable, sober and doing his best. I truly wish him nothing but happiness.

3 years age difference. They could’ve been in high school together! I’m struggling with this one… almost 10 years in jail and another 10 on a registry bc that girl got upset and blackmailed him… and he didn’t even know her age! That’s steep in my opinion.. he passed for it being consensual as well. SMH.

This happened to a friend of mine in highschool. He had just turned 18, went to a party full of seniors and ended up meeting a girl at this party that said she was 17 and a senior at another local highschool. He said she absolutely looked that age, and she was at a party full of seniors in high school so he really didn't question it. They were intimate and he found out after the fact that she was 13, going on 14. After he found this out, he came to my house terrified and devastated. He felt awful, and I could tell he absolutely was not trying to prey on her. It was consensual and the girl lied. He was not a dirt bag creep, I truly believe he would have never even talked to her if he knew her age.Then the girl's mother was trying to have him arrested for statutory grape.
I think the best thing is, avoid sleeping with people you do not know when you're around that age. There are innocent guys that exist that do not make good decisions, but they are not trying to prey on a child.

He was 18 and she was 15, they are three years apart and both still teenagers . I honestly don’t think this is a sex offending situation.

The fact that even though HIS life would have been a lot easier if he moved, but he wouldn't because it was best for his son to stay, says IT ALL. He is a GREAT DAD. ❤
I hope everyone in his town leaves him alone now and sees that he is a good honest guy who has just had a shit life... so far!

I have a friend who just committed suicide over this kind of a case. When he was 14 she was 12. They met at church grew up together when he was 18 she was 16. Parents were cool with it all the way through. Allowed them to have sex everything.

She got pregnant. Parents were still cool with it. Then she wanted full custody of the child and he went to fight in court, and all of a sudden the parents yelled statutory rape. And they convicted him.

He killed himself this year because I’ve never getting to see his child because he is now and we will always be labeled a sex offender

18 and 15, 8 years. Absolutely ridiculous. The justice system ruined his future. Both were teenagers.

18 and 15? That's SO common in high schools. That's not even illegal in most places wtf? So a girl lied about the consent factor and he wasted his 20s in prison because of some awful girl? I knew this guy was a good person with how he said he deserved his time and didn't fight it. Passing the test proved this.

My ex went to prison for 6 years for dating a girl that was one week away from 18, he was 21. This guy is NOT a ped, a technical S.O, but NOT a ped

He did 8 years in prison for having sex with a nymphomaniac less than 3 years younger than him and then another 14 months for taking his kid to a playground? This is outrageous and their close ages to each other should have made that much less of an offense. When I was in high school I saw several cases of seniors dating freshman batted an eyelash. He got a very raw deal.
