Works for:

make sure you HOLD traction off to fully disengage, wait a few seconds and you should see it fully disengage

it also helps a TON to pump the brakes first then lock, it holds the car better in place for when you’re revving up

This works in my 2008 Sline a4 with traction off and in "manual" mode which is simply the shifter in select gear so you shift up and down

Actually you should always research transmission you have (DSG or ZF). This only works if you have a dual clutch transmission. If you try this with the ZF, which is just a regular torque converter, all your doing is brake mashing and you can actually ruin axles.

Does launch control work without the drive select button?

Afaik, your Transmission needs to be up to temp. Otherwise it WILL feel like you are working against your brakes.
Plus there is a counter that can be read via VCDS, dont do this too often. This is a huge load on your clutches.

My S3 holds the revs at 4K not 3k 🤷🏻‍♂️ Anyone know why?
