How to: Launch Control

We use a 2018 M550i to demonstrate how to use launch control in a non-M BMW. Make sure you warm up your BMW first by driving at least 6 miles! And don't do this in a brand new BMW--wait until at least 1,200 miles have been driven. Steps: 1) Sport/Sport Plus mode, 2) Enable dynamic traction control 3) gear selector to the left (S), 4) left foot hard on the brake, 5) right foot all the way down on the gas and hold it there, 6) release the brake and go

I have a x5 f15 2016. it does not have sport plus. will it be able to activate launch control by using simple sport mode with traction?

Do you know if 330i g20 Luxury models have Launch Control ? I tried Sport+ Traction but I don’t get Launch Control active …

Mine revs to 3k but does not say Launch Control Active or anything like that although I have followed all steps. Is there something else I have to do that you didn’t mention in the video(got the 530d xdrive)?

Since you are in S1 at launch, do you have to manual shift as you accelerate? It doesn't look like you use the paddles, but I wanted to be sure.

I dont know why my car doesnt activate launch control. I put it on sport plus traction off. Slam brakes and slam gas to the max but my car was screachinf and i think i messed up the brakes but never got launch mode
