I’ve never tried it by long pressing the ESC button, I’ve only pressed it once to put it in Sport mode… what advantage/disadvantage is there to turning off ESC completely?

I tried exactly the same to start like this on my S3 8v FL 2017, but tachometer stoped on 1000 while breaking. Cant make 3000-4000. Any ideas?

Bro, you forgot one step!! Idk how everyone forgets this step lol. You need to hold the esc button for 4-5 seconds turns esc off, then launch the car and you will see the difference. Also for b9 b9.5 s4/rs4/s5/rs5 don't hold the launch control for more than 5 - 6 seconds.. It will automatically cut it off plus thats hard on the transmission.
For b9/b9.5 a4/a5 with dct(dsg) same steps just make sure to hold the esc button for 4-5 seconds.. It will hold the rpm at 3k and it will bounce off it.

Hey I got an audi A3 2019
S tronic 150 hp. But it wont launch for some reason?

I put it in Dynamic mode, Shift it in S, Foot on the brake, Steer straith, Start/stop off, and traction control off. It only gets up tot 1500 rpm and then it stops revving and I already feel that the car want to roll while my foot is still on the brake.

Somebody knows it?

I have a 2024 S5, and the user manual says clear as day that launch control is for "RS models only". I've still tried the procedure, and it launches REALLY fast, but I'm very worried that we're totally fucking our torque converters by doing this, because the S5 does NOT have launch control, there has never been an S5 with a tiptronic transmission that had launch control.

Every model but not every year.. only the newer dual clutch transmission like in the c7 a6 or the b8 s4. I have a c6 and it has the older transmission right before they started throwing the dsg trans. The older ones like mine aren't tuneable like the new ones. Nor can I launch it 😒
