i'm 48 years old with no retirement plan yet, any suggestions on accumulating a million dollar portfolio within 12-18 months? I have currently saved a capital of $325k.

Here’s one to add to your list of wonderful things happening to you once you retire… improving relationships with friends and family (not just spouse), making new friends via your passion project.

Good video. I’m just so thankful for choosing to go into a law enforcement career after college. It gives me a full pension early and full coverage medical for me and the wife, for life. But that’s why I picked that career.

Remember that everyone who watches your videos doesn't work in an office. I work outdoors everyday in a tough physical job. I've saved and invested for the last thirty years. Everything I have has been through hard earned money. Put a child through college and she earned a master's degree and is now in her own successful career. It can be done, but we all don't work in cush little offices with sushi lunches on a daily basis. Talk to real working people every once in a while

Thank you for this information. I was planning to retire at age 62 but now that you have explained the age requirement for medicare, I'll wait and retire at age 65. Thank you :)

if you are being asked to retire because of company downsizing try and keep your company health insurance plan. i did this and 29 year later i am glad i did. they were looking for workers to take early retirement and part of the deal was i could keep my company health insurance plan.

Good informative video. A more down to earth question would be, will you need to clip store coupons and live off of canned beans? Unfortunately, most people in today's high inflationary time, won't be able to retire comfortably. Many will have to work until they drop.

Instead of cash, you can earn 8.5% in stable coins. The price doesn’t change like other coins & it only takes 1 day to transfer to your bank account.

Are my pension and SS benefit equal to 80% or more of my take home pay? If not, don't retire. It works for me and I am retired for 21 years.

In Addition, ask what will it cost for full Health coverage for you and your spouse. For those who will have to pay out of their own pocket. It’s crazy right now and It will not likely get better. Good Luck everyone.

If you aren’t low income, ACA health insurance plans are crazy expensive!

How I planned for retirement: My boss ticked me off one too many times. I told him to take the job and shove it. That was 17 years ago. Never looked back. Of course, regularly contributing to my 401k allowed me to do that, but it wasn't really a "planned date". Felt good though! Better than a gold watch!

As a 57-year-old who was self-employed and now retired, healthcare is definitely our biggest expense!

Do not collect Federal welfare until you are 70. If that means you have to keep working then so be it.

I had a financial advisor and he said I’m in a good position to retire…so 18 months later I did. Now I want to simplify my life and sell everything I own by a teardrop trailer and hit the road living in the teardrop…so I bought a truck and the trailer and now I need to sell my fully furnished condo.

A roof costs A LOT of money, so does central heat & air when it goes out - that's a lot of cash to keep liquid. How do you accumulate that much when your job doesn't really give wage increases? Cobra insurance is way too expensive - I was quoted $700 a month! Long term care policy, life insurance policy, health care insurance or medicare gap coverage, dental insurance & maybe vision, car insurance, house insurance, burial policy - all this stuff takes away from my income now and/or when retired on fixed income. Sheeesh :(
