Paris 2024 opening ceremony: Meet the team who created the horse galloping on the Seine

To create the illusion that the horse was galloping on the Seine water, the team had to build a trimaran and find a skilled rider. The animal will be on display in Paris from October onwards.

The horse actually has a more beautiful and powerful message. It is meant to represent a combination of Sequana, the ancient goddess of the Seine river, and the Olympic spirit itself, both taking the form of an angelic horse rider coming to Paris. It's almost as if the Olympics itself has manifested in the form of a horse rider, riding across the Seine to come to Paris where it will stay. What I also love is how the representatives of each nation awaited its arrival, and followed it as it arrived, representing the Olympics itself leading humanity together as it is a deity. : )
