Even Rahul Gandhi's nephew and niece wouldn't have worked in a low paying "Jalebi factory". I hope the new Govt makes conducive policies to make Haryana the silicon valley of the North.

The problem is the areas that generate most of the revenue see the least amount of development by the state. The majority of the money is funneled into welfare schemes for the agri sector which is the vote bank.

Major Gen GD Bakshi said: I don't think the third-largest economy in the World would become beggared, if you pay the AV family who gets k the same emoluments as a serving solider. The nation can do that much. Otherwise, what is his motivation? You have made his motivation half, to somehow to survive, & get out alive, without getting wounded. Those kinds of boys won't fight. Obviously, without full pensions & benefits of regular solider, no AV will want to face the enemy. In the regular Army, you can at least earn enough salary. You will give AV a bank card. You will give him max 20, 000 or 30, 000 & cut it. If he can't make a living, he will join gangs or groups. Why can't he? This not in theory for me. I feel sad. I fought when there was t in Punjab. Our biggest priority there, was to make sure our fearsome, trained ex-servicemen not go to the other side. We should learn from the lessons in our recent history.

Pak economy is in the drain, but they haven't brought out any such cost-cutting scheme like AV. This is like cutting the branch, you are sitting on. You should not make holes in your own boat. Cut everything, because, they said, we needed money to buy new weapons. When there is a threat at the border areas, you can't act like an ostrich, burying your head in the sand; & pretend that the issue doesn't exist. Army doesn't run on political slogans. These people need to have humility. They are so arrogant. They teach me? Friend, sometimes try to listen to what the old folks say too. There is no way to reduce India's defence budget, unless china & pak reduces their defence budgets too. Defence can't come cheap. Our adversaries will take advantage of this & make us dance around. We can't afford this to happen, is all I am saying.
