Today we're going to show you how to build a reliable DIY Camera Car Mount that can hold up to 200 pounds!

This is a DIY build of the RigWheel Camera Car Mount that costs $350+. This DIY setup will end up saving you around ~$200 and potentially more if you shop around for different parts/brands or are able to reduce parts - just make sure you're not adversely affecting the safety of your camera if you choose to save money by reducing parts. This car mount is weighted to hold up to 200 pounds, so it can hold heavier cinema camera rigs or your lightest DSLR.

Very impressive! This is no ordinary DIY camera mount. I've done some primitive setups in the past (before gopros) to record autocross races but this is a million times better. Well done!

Aie caramba. I'm all for DIY but not when it looks DIY, the initial faded shot looked pretty thrown together and might not hold, but seeing it is extra security makes me feel more confident with this rigging. If you had black cording it would've looked dope.
The extra gimbal gear makes it look extra sloppy if you ask me, and the side mounting na uh. Just prefer something more modular and easily deployable if you ask me.

3 cheese plates and some Nuts eh? lol Nice rig you made here, I bet one you'd buy is super expensive too. You guys really made sure that thing was going NOWHERE! and it saves the expensive camera in case something does malfunction, god forbid. i like the mount on the side of the car for unique shots. Nice video and DYI bud!

Hello Wesley, good to see you back at it... and I love the quick screaming GEAR intro!! That's a whole lotta cheese plates. Look at you looking at handy with this setup. It does look a little crazy but it's very effective. Yeah, you definitely want a backup when you are playing with all that money. The test footage came out very stable so good job. Excellent job and great editing! So what's coming up next on your channel?

I did this in my shop but with two suction cup handles used to carry heavy glass and metal sheets. They are rated for 150 lb each
