Bro, the development of this must have taken a looot of money. It's incredible that you open source it!!

This is actually a full send in the history of open source designs.

This is INCREDIBLE. The fact that you've practically done this on your own is astonishing! This video restores a faith in human's ingenuity. Well done indeed! 👍

Every now and again, I stumble on a project that just leaves me in awe. This is definitely one of them. Kudos.

Oh my god, each little mechanical piece must've taken weeks to design, and many iterations. And then there's the FPGA processor and its circuit board, probably a few months and lots of money on just that thing. And then there's the software. Also probably another few months on just that. In total this is easily several years worth of work, spanning many different technical domains! This is one of the most serious and dedicated hobby projects I've ever seen! Well done!

These kind of projects retain my faith in humanity. It is insane, complex, almost pointless even, and yet the joy you get from it, not to mention the pleasure we get from viewing it, makes it all worth while. Just brilliant! Thank you.

I'm fascinated by FOS hardware projects of this level of complexity and quality! This should be praised, because it will make our world better!
And try maybe to change license to AGPL, so your contribution to the humanity won't be rigged by anyone!

Dude this is so unbelievably cool, I didn't even know you could buy CCD sensors just ready to drop in to projects. Really can't wait to see where you go with this!

This is incredible! I know very little about how cameras are made, but have used one for years. It was incredible to learn the architecture of these devices.

Those photos are super impressive, I love the grip on this camera!

This is a project you don’t take lightly. The sheer amount of work is absurd for a small team like yours! ❤

Awesome project ! I hope this will be the start for an entire community building DIY cameras and DIY firmwares. Either for refurbishing old cameras, building special purpose cameras or just to pressure vendors on opening up their software and hardware.
Monumental work!

What am absolute legend. I can see this as being a genuine future of digital boutique cameras. I, for one, would absolutely pay a premium for the opportunity to pick my own components and lens mount, etc and be able to assemble the camera on my own. With a modular design, it would allow the ability to swap individual parts as time goes on rather than getting a whole new camera.

Wow, this is just mind blowing, great work and thanks for sharing!

Amazing work! That FFC in the grip looks very professional!

This should be sold as a DIY kit. There are photographers that would be more than happy to have something they put toghether.
