Birthmarks can be removed using different methods including lasers and surgical methods. Portwine stains are the most commonly treated birthmark in my practice, however CALMs or café au lait macules are very common. CALMS are seen in 10-20% of the population. Congenital naevi as seen in this video occur in 1% of births. These birthmarks can be classed as small, medium and large. Truly remarkable video on how someone celebrates and embraces a birthmark- that's positive thinking for you. Kudos.

Birthmarks can also be in the form of blackheads and are called comedone navus. They can be extracted as acne cysts form with the mole or birthmark.

At the age of 29 and still I am hating my birthmark on my face and it is the same as the lady on the video. I still look at myself as ugly and my self confidence kept on going down. My birthmark is the reason why I don’t go out unless its necessary. I’m a nurse and I had it check up, and the doctors I talked to with, kept in telling me it will just come back even if we do laser. I wanted to try going abroad but feared of being rejected because of my birthmark.

I haven't embraced my birthmark up until age 25. I'm more confident in wearing dresses or skirts now. I have a spotted light brown/patchy birth mark that surrounds the front of my left leg . Overtime, I realized it is a part of me and this realization boosted my self- esteem a bit.

I used to be insecure about my Nevus sitting directly over my right eyebrow. In my youth I learned how to roll with the jokes and now in my late 20’s, I love it as my unique signature and sincerely admire everyone else’s I see.

Thank you Dr Davin, I subscribed to your channel without knowing that it will change my life. I HAD a really big CALMs on my left cheek which covered entire left side of my face. I watched your video about picosure laser two months ago, Did my research and found someone in Toronto who has the same technology. I've been there just once but 90% of my CALMs is gone. No one has really commented on this, But removing a birthmark is major surgery. All surgery is life threatening. It leaves a scar. And then another surgery to pull the skin and another to graft new skin and maybe grow it some. Things like this are not so simple. And unless you can find a donor doctor to do it you are facing thousands of dollars of medial cost. And remember, what's left after the surgery could look worse than before and cause pain. This gal is beautiful if a little imperfect. How many times have you seen someone with perfect skin all over? I give the woman 3 cheers and blessings from God! I've seen thousands of people who are not so beautiful.

I have a many big birthmark on my right leg the whole right leg was covered with birthmark. And in left leg is half and on my face there's some.. And in my forehead there's big circle birthmark. And my hands there's also many big birthmarks.
And the worst thing is there are growing more.. I'm so embarrassed with it. And I can't accept it no matter just because of this I have been bullied. people called disable.. 😟😢
