22:20 I don't know why the OP was so against it being Ace Attorney when they describe the first seconds of the first game shot for shot, but mistook the statue for a bone. Capcom, white screen, long object on top screen that suddenly drips blood onto a wooden floor, creepy music, then dialog? That's the opening, just without the title screen. I even recognized the opening from the description before the part of the post where they shoot down Ace Attorney as a possibility.

I found the post and they said it's because they remember it being in the center of the screen and don't remember there being a hand, but if they were a kid that freaked out and shut it off immediately due to being scared then it's not surprising that they don't remember it perfectly over a decade later. I had my own case of 'unidentified media' that I saw as a kid that I later realized was a Gumby cartoon and due to being so long ago and being a kid there was a lot of stuff I misremembered or misunderstood. Kid brains just do that. 🤷‍♀️

I’m not sure if this has been suggested, but the “Blue Chin Guy” music video mentioned at 19:12 could be “The River” by a Canadian band called “The Tea Party”.

It used to terrify me as a kid and I distinctly remember a guy with a long blue chin on a throne. Don’t recall purple conjoined twins, but there is a creepy lady with 2 sets of eyes?

I'm 80% sure that the movie is "Le Collectionneur" (The Collector), a French Canadian movie from 2002. Everything fits, down to the murderer's mom being obsessed with fitness.

The ironic thing about the last mystery is that the way the video is described implies that its demonizing that the obsession with skinny bodies in the 2000s era, but scared someone so bad it reinforced the obsession to them.

In Brazil we have decade long search for a incomplete (30 seconds) instrumental song that was first used in the mid-80s by a national TV network. It's easily recognizable by the entire population of the country by multiple generations of kids because it was broadcasted daily for 30 years yet nobody can trace its name or country origin. It's definitely the most heard unidentified song in the world. It was branded by the community as the 'Chapolin Opening Polka BGM'. There are multiple posts in english describing the extensive search conducted.

I think the cartoon dog was part of the short-lived Rude Dog fad. It started as hip and rad shirts with wild neon colors with the eponymous Rude Dog. There was a Saturday morning cartoon at one point, giving Rude Dog a cast of fellow dogs simply to give him a posse.
