30k on a kia that's crazy money you can get a nice 520d for that would do more mpg

Averaging 45mpg... Really!! Is that the best that 2022 can do? Why not spend £2, 000 or £3, 000 on any petrol car that can do 35 to 40mpg and keep the £30, 000 in your bank. Petrol & Electric... Let's see the bill when it goes wrong!

I have the old shape Niro and I like it a lot. Took this model out for a test drive and ordered one straight away. I would agree with everything in your review

I can average over 60mpg in my Suzuki Baleno 1.0, it does not need a hybrid to achieve it.

Love tis car :) nice review! Just one thing... the shift paddles in Eco-mode are for recuperation ;) Just in Sport-mode they're for shifting.

In 3 years of ownership, the B trip on my car is showing 40.3 mpg. That’s the average for the 3 years.
On open roads I get around 42-44mpg
It’s a 2.5l petrol, auto gearbox, AWD, large estate car fitted with all terrain tyres with 9” of ground clearance, so not a sleek, aerodynamic car.

I would be extremely dissatisfied with a 45mpg hybrid.

My old car, a 2014 diesel Mokka used to average 55mpg around town…. I miss that!

Those rear airflow slats will get blocked with leaf mulch in the autumn. You'll need to clean them out with a thin stick now and again.

This new Niro looks better than the old car, which I thought looked a bit too normal to be honest 😅

Well, our old Previa diesel does 45mpg in mixed a suburban environment, more on long distance.

Got nowt to brag about had it economy wise.. my 2010 civic 1.8 petrol with 130k always returns 40 mpg and my rather abused 2012 1.6 hdi berlingo van easily does 60mpg down the motorway.

The MPGs will probably go up a bit after a while, you've only been driving it for a week. It's still brand new

That’s the recommended price. Hybrids are all marked up because the chip shortages and high demand

My Land Rover Velar R-Design 2 litre diesel achieves 50 mpg regularly! Topped 57 mpg, on a run in the Netherlands. So 60 mpg, not that impressive.

Mercedes C300 diesel almost 68 mpg on long journeys, more comfort, quiet, precise power. with trade in £32000 - Why not encourage engine manufacturers to research ways to eliminate particulates and capture CO2 from diesel.
