Why would you ever be motivated to hire someone who is Autistic or ADHD?

Well, that's what I talk about in today's video.
Here is the content script:
Why on earth would you want to hire somebody who is autistic or A D H D? Why would you ever wanna do it? Why would you be motivated? That's the question I'd really like to ask when there have been so many long lists. Of what we can't do and what we struggle with. It's like,
it's like going to buy a new iPhone, right? And in the shop you say to the salesperson, Hey, wanna buy this phone? And they go, Ah, this model, it's a bit glitchy. The screen might crack more easily. And other phones, um, they don't get as hot as this phone gets. You know, it gets a bit hot and it tells you I'm hot, put me down.
It's also only got 12 megapixel versus the hundred plus megapixel of other cameras. So if you've not already walked out of the shop by this point, you must be a die hard iPhone fan, right? To be able to wanna buy it. But what they didn't get a chance to sell you is it's the most innovative on the market, pushing the boundaries of what's ever believed to be possible.
Both incredible bit of technology. You just need to understand what it's good at and how to get the best out of it to fully appreciate it. Power. It's powerful, right? It doesn't mean it won't come with challenges and you may need to get good support and aftercare, um, and you may need to ensure that the customer is happy and provide plenty of tech updates to plug the gap.
but pushing the boundaries of what's possible is very rarely without additional effort. Right. Of course. The reality is that when I looked at neurodiversity 3, 4, 5 years ago, all I could see was long lists of what was wrong with people who are autistic an adhd, all the reasons why you wouldn't wanna hire them.
They don't like bright lights. They don't like people, they don't like environments, they don't like anything. Why would you hire them? Because they are incredible in their own unique way. They have spiky profiles, spiky abilities, and they are some of the most innovative minds in our society, in the world.
And this is why we would want to hire somebody who's autistic an ADHD. Now, consider that. Now if you've enjoyed this episode, hit the subscribe, hit the like, leave us a comment and hopefully you'll check out some of our other videos.
