Adam Feinstein will examine the strengths of many people on the autism spectrum which make them an untapped human resource in the workplace. Using case studies, he will analyse potential employment openings across the autism spectrum and demonstrate why employing autistic people makes sound economic sense. He will examine misleading stereotypes and assess the alternative option of self-employment.

I went to a job interview at Institute of Robotics and Cybernetics recently, where I disclosed I had autism. My future boss replied: "You are in a good company then. There are many of us like you in here. Either that or psychopaths. Overall you are standing pretty good, being in the first group."
On the flip side, I had to learn over dozen programming languages, micro controllers and operating systems, as well as foreign languages, and I do hold some records in descriptive geometry. With less experience finding a good job may not be so easy.

Many of the problems to finding or within work are caused by the discrimination created by nerotypicals not all autism. Autistic people can be the best experts in any work subject. Nerotypical’s have their own positive and many negative features these include greed, selfishness, irrational thinking, judging by similarities. War, crime, racism and more have all come from them not the autistic’s and similar disabilities. To long research has just compared the common human breed to the many different mental disabilities creating assumptions and theories only now people are starting to wake up or autistic’s are doing it as it should be done.

I know its old video but am on the spectrum and I work as a certified nursing assistant, medical assistant and currently in a premed program going for a physician assistant degree. I actually struggle with bedside manners, working with a case manager on the whole communication thing. I love my job but it is a struggle, but having very little empathy has actually paid off. I see a lot of death but handle it very well. Mainly work in memory care (dementia).
