Not really interested in hunting and don't plan on getting a boat soon but I may wnat to get something like this in the future. The old town website mentions oar locks and sockets but I can't really find an image of this model with them installed. How good would this be for rowing instead of paddling?

I've got a Discovery Sport 15 on the way but I'm unsure as to what motor to put on it. I'd like to put a 4 hp Mercury on it but its heavy. I know the canoe is rated for 4 but i don't want to overpower it. A canoe salesman that i checked with to see if they had any in stock thought it might be a little big. looking for any advice pro or con. I currently have a Saranac 146 with a side mount 55 lb thrust motor. thanks in advance.
