Well my electric mountain bike is the funniest dang toy I have ever had in my life so I am 100% confident this thing will be a blast as well! I just love all the technology coming out. Get out there and have some fun! Don't save all your money until you're 80 years old!

Can’t believe the seats are the same for so many kayak brands. Why?. Is it that difficult a new comfy design?…a new kayak with a lot of R&D and the same seat…crazy 😮

Oldtown makes the best hulls, decks, gunnels, and the storage seals are made so solid. I feel so safe, and comfortable. Adding just about any motor i want. And when they prewire their equipment. All you need to do is take care of it. It's my one man fishing machine. Not to mention tge best customer service in this sport. 💯 🌊 🛶 🎣

Loved it in testing, so many practical applications for many anglers. Gaining speed without cluttering deck space, long distance confidence, and not losing the fishability of your platform are really awesome features. Looking forward to fishing this one. Congrats on the ICAST win!

@oldtimesportsman if you need a big guy to do an honest review of your 132 pdl+ I'll do it! I'm 6'2...23 stone and live in NW Florida 😊

How long does that battery last? I know it varies with different conditions but curious. Are separate batteries available? What's the top speed? I get 6-6.5 MPH with my 1103.

I have the old town 106 minn kota. Love it. I wish old town would just make the pdl drive available for al of their kayaks. There are plenty of people out there willing to pay for it. The big water is too big for me. I don’t want to have to trailer it and it’s too heavy to put in a pickup. Old town makes the best fishing kayaks by far.

I love my original 2016 Predator PDL (out in it again this AM), and the new versions look great with their new features. However, I don't see myself as ever wanting to move to a powered unit. The pedal unit gets me my much needed exercise and with it I have been able to to troll for muskie for 8 hours without breaking much of a sweat, tow a large broken down power boat a half mile into shore on lake Eerie (maintaining 0.5 MPH), and fish most waters from the coast of Newfoundland to the Detroit river without any issue.

You do not put new tech in a old unstable kayak. Come on old town. I will get a native titan x. Mini skiff is the new thing.

Having the opportunity to test drive this model, the ePDL+ 132 is AMAZING!! The power, speed, and maneuverability of this watercraft were beyond expectations. The fact that anglers can seamlessly switch between manual pedal, power-assisted pedal, or fully motorized cruise control is mind-blowing. The new wider stern tank well, larger cup holders, and an improved offset shallow water anchor mount are great new features. I believe it is time for us to upgrade!!

For ePDL gen 2..

can you make it hybrid for next epdl? recharge when padding and compatible with other hull shapes

Just picked mine up today. I’m excited to use it when I get a weather window.

Biggest disappointments so far: 1)The SAE plugs give very little confidence for longevity in saltwater environment. Should’ve been a waterproof plug with twist lock or similar. 2) loss of battery bag was a shock.
3) loss of bungee paddle holder hurt. That’s the most secure paddle storage method in rough offshore conditions.
4) a couple of screws to brass inserts were cross threaded from the factory (front “ash tray” covers)
5) just realized it no longer comes with scupper plugs. My 2 previous generation predators had these included.
I have mixed feelings on the larger rear tank well with the trade off of losing the rear tracks. Overall I think this will be a positive for me personally.

Anybody know if the ePDL drive can be retrofitted to the older predator/big water kayaks? Kind looks like they would have used the same hull opening design, so you might be able to slot in the sPDL consul in a predator 132.
