That's how you speak proper English. Saying they/them in that instance is not an example of "using pronouns" its the English language.

Language is for comunication not for you to state your preference. Mis communication cause lots of problems, having every one choose there on pronouns just make communication more difficult. Go play your silly politic some where else.

Cool. You just described a situation where the person you're referring to is unknown. AKA the actual use of "he or she" or they/them. Nobody has a problem with that. The problem is when a man or a woman is staring you in the face, aka not unkown, and demanding the use of the construction specifically for ambiguous cases. That's what people have a problem with. Being told it's hateful if you don't reject decades of using language a certain way and reject what you're seeing in front of your own eyes.

That's not even true. If it was a men's style wallet you would say "he" and if it was a woman's style wallet you would say "she." There's more important things to worry about than people's pronouns, which is why the entire conversation is annoying.
