My biggest question on tumblr is about how to get other people to use your pronouns.

I have nothing against any person. Male Female Trans Gay Straight Bi.... it doesn't matter at all. But what I don't understand is that people will cause such a big fuss over giving them a label when they're labeling themselves. you are a girl because you have a vagina and breasts. you are a he because you have a penis. that doesn't mean men can't wear makeup and women can't wear ties etc. wear and do and love who you want. but all of these labels are so stupid. can't we all just be human?

At my doctor's office, the staff all wear badges that say, "My preferred pronouns are..." and they fill in what works best for them. I think this is a lovely way to address it.

I need help, do you have to look a certain why to use they/them pronouns? I’m shrugging because I don’t feel like I earn the right to use them :( but it’s something I been wanting for so many years now but I’m starting to feel more confident with it

Why do trans people want to be referred to by plural pronouns such as they or them? Why not go with "it" because it is singular? Wouldn't that make a lot more sense unless you were addressing an actual group of trans and needed the plural.

There is no "they/them" in German. I mean, there is, but it's the same word that's used for "she/her" and you just know the difference in context. so as a pronoun for a single individual, "they/them" just doesn't exist really, since it's indistinguishable from "she/her" then. So I, being gender queer, just don't really mind what pronoun people use. I don't correct "she" nor "he" and I'm also fine with "they" (from English speaking people). But I perfectly understand and respect everyone's own preference for what they would like to have used for themselves.

How do you get someone to respect you? Do something that is worthy of respect.
As long as I know you're talking to me I don't care what pronoun or word you use. He, she, it, they, them... I can't imagine giving a shit about it. I know you're talking to me, that's fine.

It's like those people who, when you say a wrong word or misspeak around them, they have to correct you. If I know what you mean, I don't need to correct you. Take a break from being right, take a break from thinking of yourself as something separate from everything else.

education time using they or them makes no sense grammatically for example if I went to the store and some one wanted to know where is was you could say. " he's at the store. that makes sense . but let's say you went to the store am I know suppose to say " oh they went to the store" no because that implies multiple people went to the store

I honestly find it hard to remember who wants to be called what. My storage is very limited as my brain is full of useless crap from YouTube, Netflix, Twitter .. you get the idea. I'm a shell of a person because of my internet usage. I forget my own birthday - for real. So trying to remember all these pronouns is hard. I actually left a bitchy comment on Dakota's (I pretty sure that's right) video as they cursed and was disrespectful. You are very nice and well-spoken and that really works better. Also your eyes are dream-marbles and your voice gives me ASMR feels. I may watch more for the tingles. So please be patient as people will mess up or plain forget your preference and I will be respectful. Thank you
