Personally I think there should be darker characters but I feel some should stay white and pale bc even were there are black people there are lighter skin tones mixed in there to :)))

Natlan is certainly inspired by other places, and I understand wanting characters with darker skin tones because I honestly kinda do too, but people have to understand that getting upset about this sort of thing and "boycotting" a company by not spending money on it won't make a difference when they're still making millions from people doing as much as just playing the game at this point.
that along with the fact that there are plenty of other people still spending loads of money because they're perfectly content with character designs as is.
again, I seriously do understand wanting darker skin tones for characters, but Hoyo is not going to care if a few people start not spending money when there are thousands of others spending millions collectively.
what you do with your money is your decision, and not spending money on Genshin is probably a better decision no matter what your reason for that is.
another point, other nations in Teyvat are inspired after real life places that, according to your logic, would suually have lighter skin tones anyways, and at least Hoyo is making somewhat of an effort now that they have more than just one nation that is seen as usually having people living there with darker skin tones.
yet another point, assuming that just because the nation is inspired by Africa/African culture automatically means that every fictional character from that fictional nation should have dark skin tones is kind of :/ if you know what I mean.
(I mean no offense to anybody and seriously just want to have a calm discussion)

This could be considered racist. Imagine Genshin DID put a character in a game that’s extremely dark and you come across a video with the caption, “Fixing Natlan characters so you don’t have to” I bet it would be a different story then. 🤦‍♀️

Tbh i think the Genshin community is over reacting a bit on the skin color. First of all didnt Disney do this and look how that turned out second if u pay attention some characters r a bit tan. No hate to this vid or anything just want to share my opinion
