Did you or would you do a video about ways to make money as an engineer/mixer/producer?

Im glad you covered composing for film/TV etc.. Its a pretty huge market people don't really think of until they fall into it. I got into recording because of the bands I was apart of in my early teens.. which then lead me to my 20 plus career in TV post sound (Music being only a tiny part of what my career is now) Music now is my hobby.

Another great video! Thanks!
I was a pro musician back in the 90's. I screwed things up but never stopped creating music. Now I'm 59, and even though I'm better at what I've always done than I've ever been before, I'm struggling to find a place for my many years of music and experience. This video has me thinking again!

I damn near spit my coffee at, "why am I not home and why am I friends with this person?"

good kibble to chew on...I always hated the saying, 'those who can't do, teach' meaning that if you aren't good enough or connected enough to go pro, you can always just get a crappy teaching job. Not sure where that originated from, but it's insulting.

I don't know anyone who ever excelled at anything without having someone else show them the ropes first. I recently decided to pick up the bass to add to my repetoire of instruments and thanks to several youtuber's tutorials, I've surpassed what I thought I was capable of in a short period of time.
Roger Love - vocal coach...aka teacher - I probably learned as much if not more from his courses as i did with private instruction for 4 semesters in college

Hi Justin
How do you feel AI generated music will impact the livelihood of producers/musicians etc?

I know for a fact I don't want to do #5...yet. I want to do the other 4 first.

I never listened to anyone for the life experience or the video experience. Going to concerts end up often with side effects like ear ringing especially when there isn't enough speakers and they bust some frequencies to make your ear drums resonate. Maybe that's just me. I don't think so. They do it on purpose. Or the mixing dude boost the bass too much on some bands. And than you want to murder him. Concerts are overated. Off course Swifties won't agree. They will give arm and a leg to go see their idol. It's so much better sitting and having control over volume and EQ in your fingers. Yeah I know. I sound like 80 year old.

Blah blah blah. The minutes tick by until we can finally "get into it". And then of course there is the obligatory self promotion throughout the entire video, plus obligatory begging at the end of the video. Thank you for this waste of time.
