I am from Kashmir and I have heard about “Yacch” from my grandmother, so basically it goes like if you take away Yacch’s hat they will be your servant till the time they get back their hat back and as soon as they get their hat back they will kill that person. Also you can keep the hat away by keeping it near fire or under Okhli, known as “wokhul” in kashmiri since yacch cannot stand near fire and are afraid of okhli as well. Loved your explanation though!!

Rantas Is True And Still Found In Remote Areas. Rantas Doesn't Love Light And It Harms Her. So Basically In Old Times There Was Not Prominent Light Source . So It Was Easy For Her To Move Across Areas.Rantas Holds A Golden Comb That Shines In Dark . Rantas Offers The Comb To The One Who Gains Her Trust

BramBram Chowk - Basically This Creature Is Seen By Most People. I Had Some Faded Memories About It. But My Grandfather Once Told Me That BramBram Chowk Was Mostly Seen By People and There Are Many Incidents. But Its Weakness Is Its Fire

Pasikdar - Well We Call It Rosh Here. Basically Pasikdar Is Extremely Religious And Offers His Prayers At Night Time. But If The Place Of Worship Is Dirty Then He Gets Extremely Furious . One Incident That I Remember is My Cousin 's Maternal Home incident . There Used To Be A Rocking Chair That Used To Move Just Like Someone Sat On it . Another Incident I Remember Is My Aunt's Relative As She Woke Up At Night. The Next Moment She Saw Someone Inside The Washroom And It Was Her Husband . But As Soon She Returned To Her Room Her Husband Was Lying Sleep in on The Bed.

Yaxh - This Creature Is Extremely Rare And Due To Urbanisation In Kashmir People Haven't Seen Them In Centuries. Now If U Wonder. You Steal It And Then You Can Do Whatever You Want You Are Wrong. It Will Follow You Everywhere And If You Return His Hat Maybe You Are Dead

Dian - She Is Considered The Sister Of Rantas And Has Extremely Long Hand. I Remember Mom Telling Me About How Long Her Hands Are. She Is Basically A Cannibalistic Creature But She Fears Fire And Crowds. So Basically Moving In Crowds Won't Harm You

Pari - A Famous Story Of A Young Shepherd Who Used To Herd His Sheeps. He Had Heard That There Is A Beautiful Lady Nearby a Stream In The Forest. One Day While Herding His Sheeps He Saw a Beautiful Woman Near The Stream. The Young Shepherd Was Young And Extremely beautiful And The pari quickly fell in love with him. The Shepherd used to meet her everyday . But after sometime the Shepherd got married . However she had been in love with him and as soon she learned about it she was heartbroken . After sometime the Shepherd s wife fell Ill and there were problems all around the house. The Shepherd realised what actually happened and since the pari was madly in love with him he was able to have a piece of hair from her. Soon with the help of a magician he was able to trap her and Contain her in a bottle.

If u think any of this is fake you need to visit kashmir once . The forests have witnessed the sights of These creatures . Ask rural residents about these creatures they will Make u experience facing these deadly Creatures Face to face

Pasikdar is true, my mother has seen it in our house at early 5 am when she woke for nimaz. Sometimes when we do something wrong, pasikdar comes at night and makes you unease while sleeping.

Rantas is the most common urban legend. As a kashmiri, we do have a great fictional stories regarding it

Entities related to fire, here's one from Sikkim which still makes me wonder . Its Bhutay ranko(Bhootiya lights) theyre seen along streams or river sides and they are trail of lights which are blinking and quite mysterious. You find them walking at one place and next moment, they're on the other side of the jungle.
My reasonable explanation is- theyre are toad hunters(that's a tradition but is banned now) but the reason doesnt fit well.

Maybe they are ghosts of toad hunters

I am from India, in my neighborhood I heard of Daen, but it was different story. Actually in that story Daaen is a beautiful woman's spirit. She has a very long braid hair and opposite side turned feet. They usually takes humans life energy to keep her younger beauty just like a 19-25years old lady 👩🏻👩🏻🧛‍♀️🧛‍♀️💃🏻
