weBoost Drive 4G-X now Drive X, And New $399.99 Pricing - Mobile Cellular Boosters

weBoost today announced it was changing the name of their popular weBoost 4G-X cellular booster, and also lowering the price.

The weBoost 4G-X had been the 'gold standard' of mobile cellular boosters since it came out in 2015, and earned its top pick status with our staff.

As of today, it will now be known simply as the weBoost Drive X.

With this re-branding, only the name will change - the product will remain the same.

weBoost will also lower the price of the weBoost X vehicle kit - from $449.99 to $399.99. After the release of the Reach earlier this year, the price was dropped from $479.99 for the base kit.

I have used mine for a few years on AT&T and found it to be quite useful. I live in LA but travel to Vegas, Portland, San Francisco, San Diego, even down to Ensenada Mexico. In mexico, the towers are quite far apart and the data throughput is fairly weak, but this helped a lot.

Are you planning or have done a review on the mofi cell router everything device?

I have just finished putting my system together consisting of a Pepwave Max ENT cat12 LTE modem fitted with an AT&T sim and Verison sim fallback. When the stand alone phone is beyond signal i put in “web phone calls” mode and it works fine.
Note my wife (we are in our 60s) finds cell phones to complicated so i have a Magic-Jack with a standard landline phone plugged in. She picks up the phone in the motorhome, gets dial tone, dials, and talks. They also have an app i use on my iPad or. iPod that i can talk or text on. I may dump the cell phone altogether as the price for her phone is $40 a YEAR.
