Like so many, I felt like the fact that I had Scarlet Fever at around 5 years old and mono at age 13 is what caused my UCTD/"pre-Scleroderma". Now when I think back, I believe I can truly see exactly when all my fatigue, pain, brain fog and other autoimmune symptoms started: when my Daddy passed away on May 26, 2014. It took me 3 1/2 years to get to the point where I finally went to a doctor. My Daddy's sister had Lupus and my Daddy had all the symptoms that I am experiencing now - he just never sought medical care for them. I have always known that stress is a huge trigger for me, but now I know that I need to do all I can to keep my stress down so that I don't undo all the wonderful things I am doing for myself in eating right and exercising. Thank you for this insight!!
