I've done this, like a lot of people, last season and then last night. I have to say, it's a completely shit way to get the new exotics.

There is no fun in this whatsoever, it's 10 minutes pulling engrams from last seasons pass, and decrypting with a load of materials.

This is not only the worst way I think we've had to gain new armour (apart from maybe the public event time at the start of D2!) but is also yet another way for new players to be put off.

Its still dumb that bungo makes it more convoluted and difficult to get new exotics instead of just adding them to the world drop pool that hasn’t been updated since at least 2019.

Why not use this mechanic but also keep the legendary lost sectors too? There is almost no point in doing them now without getting new exotic drops.

i miss the old days like it was in D1 or even forsaken, you play and it drops random, thats how it should be in my opinion

Above, I hope you pin or like this, but there is another way of unlocking this feature. It is technically slower due to time gating, but another option if from ranking up with Xur.

Still worked... i used equal amount of exotic ingrams and about 18ish shards across 3 guardians... immediately unlocked the new armor.... which was totally worth it.

did over 10+ expert lost sectors even did a few in masters and not once did an exotic engram drop. What other method is there for them?

Nah bro, you didn't max out the rep with Rahool by simply focusing 2 engrams into specific exotic items. And you certainly do not have enough ascendant shards to keep focusing random exotics only to gain more exp for the rep.
