I'm in Western North Carolina. And I haven't seen a single person from FEMA, the national guard finally got the road sawed out.. there were so many trees down.. I I went to a food distribution place. There was a food truck. They came from Virginia. You just don't know what it means, for someone to bring you a hot meal people from all over the country, brought supplies. I know someone who lives on bald Mountain. They literally had to dig themselves out and make their own road. It was 10 days before they saw anyone other than local officials and other neighbors. Folks on another mountain next to them we’re not so lucky. There was no way they were getting, any help unless they hiked on foot up and over the mountain. They did not see the military for 10 days! They got one another out, they saved one another’s lives. They shared their food with their neighbors until they were able to get any type of supplies. Bald mountain is in Yancey county. They got hit really hard.

I work in a gunstore in the upstate of SC. Since Helene, I can tell you 2nd hand that looting in NC is a HUGE problem. People from those affected areas are coming in every day to buy guns because of looters ransacking their property, their neighbors, and communities. And looters are just one of the problems they face. I've heard all types of stories of assaults and home invasions from that area. The government agencies up their, they aren't doing anything. The residents, they're the ones protecting and rebuilding.

FEMA has govt. consent to seize autos, food, camping supplies, cell/laptops/pc's, weapons and ammunition, livestock etc. " for the greater good" to be reallocated to those in need.
I believe I can choose to do that on my own, don't want nor need government assistance in those decisions.
If they were in fact threatened, they earned it by trying to seize things.

My daughter's boyfriend is there from 101st. He's been telling her that they are just sitting around "camping" and handing out supplies. They are not trained in search and rescue and doing basically nothing. They haven't sent them out to do anything extra. He told her they would be leaving soon.
