A lot of speculation around the things people have seen at the Ignite conference, including this desktop look that could be Windows 12

This reminds me of Mac or GNOME on Linux. If this comes to pass, it’ll be interesting.

It’s quite similar to the Mac interface. If the taskbar is cantered then they might as well go all in and make it a full dock and use the top of the screen as a menu bar

I think it looks nice. I can't wait to see what they have in store.

So at which point is Apple going to raise an issue about copying…but that’s how it all started anyway.

Eventually we won't be able to tell the difference between Windows and a MAC

This looks so much like Gnome. I guess everyone steals from everyone else.

It looks more like something a tablet would have and it's reminiscent of apple.

Why is a new version of Windows needed?

So should I hold off buying a new laptop, as mine has the wrong processor for Windows 11, until Windows 12 comes out?

Does this mean that Microsoft realise that with Windows 11, they have another Millennium and Vista edition on their hands?

Why they are making empty space in the dock bigger and bigger for no reason, that is only less screen space for no reason and it look stupid. Why Microsoft why.

I would like an expanding task bar and a size option as that is big on 1080p but fine at 4k. I kind of like this

Taskbar is even thicker than in W11 so again less workspace, tiny clock at the corner that may blend with the wallpaper, , so everything about the look... Who cares about productivity!. And more mac os looking than ever.. (why MS?)

I have said it before and I'll say it again 12 is going to come. or whatever name they give it. I have said before all you have to do is look back into the history reputation of Microsoft's creations and actions.

Not much has really changed! Microsoft is almost predictable. Every now and then they throw us a curve ball.
From 98 to 11.

From 7 to 8.2 which 8 was the stage for 10. 8 was an experimental precursor to 10, 10 was in development before 8 was released. Which gave them more time in the development stage for the release of 10, along with a few other changes.

I expect the next version (12) to run the same course as 10, then when they are getting close for the other project they will release something in-between. Before they get to their intended target.

it has always seemed to be in this pattern, one on, one off to one on. Microsoft does have a pattern. But also remember we the mass are the official testers and they go by feedback. As we see now with 11 and the constant changes and adjustments. If Microsoft gets too much negative feedback they will eventually budge.

Remember that!
