Linux is looking better and better by the day. I am sick of having to relearn the basics of the operating system every time Microsoft pump out a new version of Windows. And why should people have to buy a new PC just to be able to run this bloated spyware? It's a gigantic rip-off.

This could also lead to less user privacy we also have to keep that in our mind.

There was talk about it being fully AI based. and a Microsoft employee said "Will require an all new system architecture". And the current tech news is bragging about this new AI based CPU built on ARM. And tech radar claims that Microsoft wants Windows 12 to run on it's own Silicon. So if that's true, a upgrade path from your current PC wont be possible. Further more, rumors suggest that AI will run the entire OS. We are talking core level AI. Everything you do. File explorer, start menu, Applications. All of it will be powered by AI. Which i find scary as hell. Your OS will have the ability to think, and it will also learn about it's user and many other eye-brow raising things. As a software dev, i find this creepy as hell. I know what this kind of tech is capable of, and i do NOT under any circumstances want the core of my OS built around it. I would say "Oh just use Linux". But if Microsoft wants their own Silicon, and the OS is binded to it via AI. after a few generations you wont have any hardware left that can actually run Linux. At least not in the main stream. So far, i'm hating everything i'm hearing about Windows 12.

Windows 11 didn't provide me anything good reason to move from Windows 10. Windows 12 looks to be an AI data grabbing OS. I am sticking with Win10 for now, but Linux is my go to place in the near future. Windows will live in a WM if I need apps like O365 or Adobe suite. Who the hell wants AI instead of a start menu. The whole reason for the start menu is to help me look for an app.

That aside, great video on explaining what it could bring.

GOD. Not another windows version. I don't want stupid AI garbage no one will use, more privacy intrusive spyware, worse GUI changes for the shake of "being minimalist", whilst ignoring decade old Windows vulnerabilities THAT BEEN IN THE OPERATING SYSTEM FOR YEARS. Microsoft, if you really want me to leave Windows this badly, then I'll just make Linux my main OS, they're both free and works fine without having to use the terminal.

Windows 11 and 12- leaving nearly a billion people behind that can't afford to run out and buy a shiny new PC whenever Evilcorp tells them to.

Too little too late...Windows 10 changed everything for me...Rockin ZorinOS these days. Zero regrets and no pre-designated expiry dates (manufactured obsolescence). Even installable on my 16 year old Core2 Duo that Microsoft had relegated to the bottom of a closet.
Go ahead kids, ask your parents; Who or what is a Microsoft ? (or a Gestetner or an Underwood or a Packard). NO ONE is too big to fail. But few have dug their own graves quite so efficiently using metadata collection tools disguised as OSes.

Bringing AI into Windows? Screw that! I don't want an AI to spy on everything I do on my PC.

Also the Windows 12 UI is garbage, Windows 7 aero theme is the best UI Microsoft ever made.

If they are not combining control panel and settings, not modernizing the old windows xp elements. And still forcing bing, news in widgets section, then there is no need for a new os.

The only positive thing about Windows is that you don't have to pay extra for viruses or malware
