In this quick video, I want to share with you the best cracker to have on a ketogenic diet. I believe the best keto cracker is the “Finn Crisp Thin Rye Crispbread.” You might be able to find these at a health food store or online. You could add sour cream, cheese, guacamole, or hummus with these as well.

These keto crackers are whole-grain rye crackers. They have a very small amount of gluten, but if you’re gluten-sensitive, these might not be an option.

Finn Crisp Thin Rye Crispbread (per slice):
Total carbs — 5g
Fiber — 1g
Net carbs — 4g

For those of you complaining about eating just one... break one crisp into a few pieces. They're pretty big. Thank you Dr. Berg.

Been eating Finn crisp for many years thanks to a Finnish boyfriend and always felt it was the best carb for me to consume. This is great news. Finn crisp with Irish butter and Italian cheese will be my multicultural keto breakfast this morning

Thanks! Good back up! I make yummy keto crackers with fresh ground flax seeds, almond flour, eggs and cheese. Friends are begging for batches. I make super crackers with Maine Coast kelp granules, garlic, cayenne, turmeric, dulse, nutritional yeast, fresh ground black pepper and real salt! RDA of iodine. Just a tiny bite from the organic cayenne. I eat them with a nut mix I make with macadamia nuts, raw walnuts, pecans, sesame seeds and fresh roasted (after soaking, sprouting a little and drying) sunflower seeds dusted with kalanamak salt, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, black pepper, turmeric, flax meal and cayenne. I add a tsp of MCT oil to make the spices stick to the nuts. Haha, I see a pattern!

I know this is an old video, but these super crackers in 2024 now have 2.4 net carbs and just 22 calories I love them with a smoked salmon pate.

For those complaining about anything here, the simple answer is don't eat any at all. Do what's right for you. You don't have to take every suggestion given. If it doesn't work for you, leave the info and use your own mind to make your own damn decision.

Some people won't eat these because they are too sensitive to any sort of carb made from grains. This info is not for those people. But some people will be fine eating these, whether you label this keto or not. Sheesh. Use your own mind.

I love how Finn Crisp gets love worldwide.
My favourite combination:
Finn Crisp Natural with Feta-Jalapeno cream (80:20) (Feta is cheese of sheeps/goat milk from greece)

Just bought me some of these from Whole Foods. I put some King Oscar smoked herring and it is delicious! The crackers actually taste like Raisin Bran cereal to me.

Dr Berg,

Many of us have kids who are unhealthy/overweight, and we'd love a video about KIDS' KETO.

Thanks so much for your help,

Hi Dr Berg. I'm Australian and on low carb now for just over a year and am using a brand 'Ryvita' wafers with my high protein fat breakfast. These wafer very dry crunchy biscuits are a mix of wg Rye, rye flour and salt - nothing else. Do you know this one? Decades ago i used Fin Crisp and was delighted you offer these as a sometime feature. I'll now go looking for them but it will be a search i'm sure. Thank you for your work.

For plant based ketogenic dieters, Explore Cuisine bean noodles are low net carbs and high protein (one serving is 56g dry pasta and equals 23g carbs, 12g fiber, 25g protein....11g net carbs total for one serving). Serve the bean noodles on top of a large salad, steamed veggies, and make an avocado sauce (blend avocado, salt, garlic, onion, optional tomato or simply mash avocado and season as desired) and it's a great keto meal for those whom don't eat meat and/or an option for those who want a more plant based meal. It's gluten free too

Also: Rinsing and/or soaking the bean noodles extra well removes more of the starch, too.
