Cash stuffing is the absolute bomb!!! When we started a year ago we had $12, 000 worth of debt and no money put aside for emergency fund. we had truck brakes to buy for 1200 husband got into an accident and that was 1000 the tractor broke and that was 2000 on and on. But now the debt is fully paid for and every category I have has plenty of money in it, including a hefty emergency fund. I have nine binders, I save for everything! This has been a godsend I will never stop cash stuffing and writing every single solitary thing that we buy down. 😊 it wasn’t easy in the beginning that’s for sure I started with literally two dollars and five dollars in each category moving up as we paid things off. in the beginning you have to be frugal like crazy to get ahead! I do this and this method has actually help me to get out of debt, save money, and learned to use credit cards the right way.

I use my credit card and move the cash from my envelopes into a “bank” envelope. And then I deposit the cash in the bank and pay the CC bill. I like the rewards.

I never take the cash back to the bank. I pull the funds due on the credit card from the cash envelopes like you do, then I use the cash to re-stuff the next week minus or plus whatever I need to fund the next weeks cash stuffing. Then the next week I pull what money I need from the bank. It’s been working really well and I rarely go to the bank anymore. Great videos!

Unfortunately I have a balance on mine, because of stupid high dental costs, but I pay off what I use plus put some extra to go towards that balance every month, so I still get the benefits while I work on paying down the debt.

I put all my fixed expenses on my travel card like my internet, health insurance, car insurance, phone bill, Spotify, etc and I leave the money in my checking account to pay it back I don’t pull it from my account in cash (I try to avoid having to go to the bank too often to deposit).

I cut my credit cards up in 2019. I just got myself one last month for travelling purposes. Now I use it very sparingly but only if the cash is sitting in a sinking fund. I pay it off a week before it’s due. It feels so nice to finally learn how to be responsible with credit cards at age 40. 😆 Cutting it up and using sinking funds was a part of that journey.

Holy crap, I’ve been wondering how y’all have such crisp straight bills and count so fast!! All my bills come from the bank looking like they just came out of someone’s sock, all wrinkly, limp, and stuck together. I don’t know if I’m motivated enough to clean and iron all my money like this 😅
