Thumb Rule of using a Credit Card : Use it like your Debit Card, as simple as that!
Always use credit card to get benefits like cashbacks, offers, coupons, free tickets etc etc.. and never use it as a tool to get a loan. Using it as a debit card will automatically reduce your miscellaneous and bad spending habits and on top of that you would never get into debt.
The companies or banks which issue credit cards always earn from those customers who are careless and tend to default payments and spend more than what they can afford.
