Echo Chambers and the bad memes that follow.

You will never be invalidated in an echo chamber. You will also never know if you are right. This is a half memes, half serious video that takes a look at the problem of plebbit echo chambers and the special blend of toxic pseudo-intellectual midwittery they tend to promote.

Honestly, being called a f***ot or told to kill myself on 4chan is preferable to me than being outright silenced on Reddit

6:35 Its funny that Redditors used to love Elon Musk it was apart of the Reddit stereotype to like him. But as soon they found out he does not politically align with them...

I got banned from reddit for saying that the UBI is a terrible idea economically and explained why i thought so, apparently being against UBI is hateful according to reddit rules.

Reddit is literally so bad I write a college paper using it as the prime example of echo chambers.

Get this: The prof was a leftist, *and he agreed.*

Four Chan, for all its problems, is NOT an echo chamber. You can say ANYTHING and you won't get banned for dissent, regardless of how stupid it is.

This is an indirect call-out of r/gamingcirclejerk and I couldn’t be happier.

From what ive noticed, "reactionary" isn't just a word for anyone who opposes leftist policies or is right of Marx. It's like calling someone a nonbeliever. They're someone who "doesnt get it" and is just "reacting to things that we are changing that is good".

The average redditor is literally just the soyjak meme and nothing can convince me otherwise.

The irony of that toilet cleaning meme is that, under their precious socialism, the state would determine what you get to do for the rest of your life. And if the state says you're fit to be a toilet cleaner instead of a poet, then who are you to argue? Get to scrubbing, comrade!

I have never used Reddit and have never regretted that decision.

Why the 4:39 meme is wrong: Lowering the barrier to entry to make new businesses improves working conditions, as companies improve workers' conditions to compete with other businesses, and the workers have a choice to leave to a worker-friendly business if the one they are in treats them badly.

Ah, Reddit.

Made an account to interact with readers of a fic I wrote since a lot of them were on there. Decided to explore around a bit and decided to make some posts about a "historian" who'd made videos on American Polarization where he basically blamed everything on "muh bad conservatives".

First post did alright because the claim I addressed was him claiming that FDR's New Deal came from Teddy Roosevelt... every post I made regarding other aspects, like the idea New York city "was only saved" from bankruptcy by government bailouts in the 70s or the fact the video series was propaganda got removed and I got banned when one of this guy's friends accused me of defending Nazi policies.

When I was a redditor (I have long been cured now) I only visited that subreddit only once and it made me so mad. at the time I was also a liberal but it STILL made me mad cause I only saw liberals dunking on conservatives and not a single even remotely conservative shitpost

Got banned from Reddit for saying and proving men and women are physically different. Didn't even say men were stronger, just linked a whole bunch of stuff about military results, sports world records across multiple fields, video examples, medical paper showing different bone and muscle mass or different muscle regeneration, etc. A toddler instinctively knows this, but saying it is too much apparently.

Personally came to the same conclusion about upvotes a few years ago. Another argument that I want to add, is the fact that upvotes are easily manipulated with bots. Basically, it's super easy to get a whole bunch of bots and upvote whatever you want, which makes it very easy for powerful people to manipulate whole bunch of people at once, by just buying upvotes and saying "look, this is what other people think, you should think like them, otherwise you're an outsider and you don't belong with society."

But recently, it's been even worse. Most sites are starting to remove downvotes, which you mean you can't even disagree with something. Youtube already did that, but other software like Teams also do that. You can upvote a message, but you can't downvote "because muh feeling, all form of negativity bad, ..."/. You either agree with us, or you GTFO. I really wish forums would make a comeback, that's a big reason I use Steam regularly, even if it's just for games, it's ironically much better to talk about anything.

It's pretty funny how people think gun control means "no guns" and not "only the government has guns"

I used to use Reddit but it's become a horrible place. Most major subreddits are ran by a handful of moderators, and you can get banned from the entire website for any opinion that doesn't perfectly align with American Democrat policy.

I use to farm karma from these subreddits by getting upvotes for the worst low effort img flip memes ever and the would clap like seals
And used to sell the account
