Also this concept was excellently explained by Mr Mukesh Gahlot in one of his videos
Actually during cutting phase athletes go for high reps with comparatively lower weights. This is because during cutting phase, the athletes are in low carb diet. Due to this the water held by muscle significantly decreases that can lead to an injury due to dehydrated muscle. So to play safe athletes go for more reps with light weight to avoid any type of injury before competition.

Simple definition of light weight is that is only for warm up BEFORE YOU start your main exercise.

Cut me bht Athelete Relatively low weight pe slight high rep range chunte hai..

Reason - So that, they don't put too much load which may cause muscle tear.

E.g If A Athelete does 30kg for 8 rep,
in his cut phase He might opt for 25-27.5 kg for 12 rep.
(only to be safe from injury, obvsly it depends Athelete to Athelete, but in general)

High rep krne se cut nahi hota, but Cut me as thumb rule, high rep relatively low weight Athelete opt krte hai..

Cut and Bulk is decided by Calorie in Calorie out

Light weight se slow twich muscle fibre develop hote h aur very low quantity m
Wahi heavy weight se fast twitch muscle fiber develop hote h and develop in more quantity.
Fast twitch for strength with low endurance.
Slow twitch for high endurance.

Agar aap heavy karo cutting be hoti hai par cardio be saat karna parta hai aur ha calorie deficit. Heavy weight se to banta hai muscle mera purana coach kera tha light weight karo mene usko chordiya aur heavy weight jari raki hai. Bhai saab thank god apne acha bola baki coaches thara kachra nai bola❤🥰

Light weight and more reps is during cutting phase in bodybuilding because bodybuilders are on way much less carbs. So, to avoid injury they do more reps with light weight. But more rep doesn't mean 100 reps, stick to 13-15 reps.

Lekin fast twitch aur slow twitch fibres ka kisa hoga sir? Fast fibres size dete hein, aur slow twitch wale to insertions and striations dete hein. To bias slow twitch, more reps are important. Isn't it?
