Amtrak please bring back the early morning Empire Service (former 280) to points west of Albany. There is now no same day connection with the long distance trains to the south from NY Penn Station. Have had to travel alternative modes twice in the last 2 months as I'm sure have many others.

I'm from Britain, travelled around US on Amtrak 1995, great. Biggest downer was lack of shower facilities for those travelling coach.

TL;DR Amtrak is one hell of a good railway company

Very nice! But I agree, you should have done this in a #shorts format.

When is the real food coming back? We are not going to take our trip till it does and if it doesn't come back, I guess we will NEVER ride Amtrak again!!! That will be a big sad

Amtrak was absolutely the worst for me. I booked a trip with them always looking forward to that my entire life. Unfortunately, my husband had just passed away and I to get out of a place of severe depression. My father and my husband were extremely close. He also needed the trip for the sake of his mental health. He became incredibly ill and was placed on Hospice. I couldn't travel after this. I contacted Amtrak because I am the family caregiver and a nurse. I needed a refund. I'm on a fixed income. I needed the money. I was informed through customer service with Amtrak that unless I provided medically protected documentation that I would not receive a refund. I informed them that this is in violation of the hipaa law I've not received any reply. What kind of customer service is this? No risk cancellation is a fallacy.

Why are you so expensive? I can fly for half of what you charge! I have Parkinson's and how much more comfy in an Amtrak than a plane! I am so sad I cannot afford a train to ND! The scenery must be awesome. My hubby died so I am going to a new place. Oh well.
