How do I report a broken traffic signal?

Don't you love days when it seems like you have green lights all the way and things are fine?

Of course you'll reach a red light where you stop and let the other guy go, but hey, that's life! It's his turn.

There are 12 thousand intersections all over the city where people are taking their turn thanks to traffic signals, and they're all maintained by the Department of Transportation.

But what if the signal stops working? Not a good thing.

You can report a defective traffic signal by contacting 311. If it's serious, like none of the lights work or the signal has been knocked down, a crew will arrive within 2 hours.
