If a loud neighbor is disturbing your peace, you're not alone. It's one of the most common noise complaints reported to the City, and one of the most difficult to deal with. However, there are steps you can take to help resolve the issue.

Check to see if your building has noise rules which provide times when certain sounds are allowed or not. If these rules have been broken, be diplomatic and speak with your neighbor.

Spoke to the loud neighbors nicely & she slammed the door in my face. Spoke to the board & nothing has been done yet. I rent so I spoke to the apt owner & he said he is trying to help. Still nothing done yet. Called 311 multiple time's & they send the officer's, but officer's never show up to stop 5K from being so loud at night. Called the precinct over here & they never pick up the phone. Been dealing with this for over 2 year's now. Still trying to stop them rude fuckers from being so loud so late!

Lol... 311 is useless, calling the police is useless. I've been dealing with nuisance neighbors for over a year. Multiple notarized letters to the landlord, even ended up going to Housing Court. Judge did nothing. Court attorney didn't seem to care. NYC is a joke in regards to neighbor noise.

I have a neighbor that causes problems with construction four months and there's no drive ways. Parking is an issue there's like 6 cars full of illegal immigrants. The guy is a foreigner who doesn't have courtesy with his neighbors hires them during rainy days outside and holidays too. This guy does not care about your sanity. I asked them last month back in September that it would be the final month now it's October 27yh they have another month. I reported to the city because I do not want to deal with this the rest of my life.
