No, we’re not blunt because we don’t understand humans. It’s the opposite. We’re blunt when the other person cluelessly steps over a boundary we had just laid down for them when the conversation started. You have to be blunt with trespassers, or they’ll keep tress passing. And we don’t care about their perceived injury - our bluntness is just a reflection of their clueless projections and sorely miscalculated understanding of human behaviors. We don’t miss much in a conversation. We’re just incredibly misunderstood.

There’s no reason to connect emotionally when there’s no value in it. Especially when such connection becomes a baggage to INTJ’s independence, solitude, peace of mind, principles or intelligence. INTJs can perceive and read emotions but they are very selective in reacting towards that emotion. Emotions rarely sway their judgment. They know which battles to lose to win a war.
