We're not TRYING to be different we just are...If we were trying to be different we'd be like everyone else.

Sold my house and have taken the last year off building my own shop and apartment. I have been stuck in this loop for the last 6-8 months. Just recently have found your videos and loving your content. It’s nice when someone just gets it and able to explain it in a way that we understand as INTJs. I have friends that tell me to see a therapist, but I feel that my experience would end the exact way that you explained it happening. Thank you.

Intj here. Don't know if i am edgy. I do like colours but i do stick quite a lot with black. Also i tend to wear the same shirts and sweaters for years in the same combinations. I don't if that makes me a minimalist or just boring or what but yeah...

Fun short and so true ! It's just we are ourselves, it's just being an INTJ ^^.

Hahaha that’s true! At first I thought I’m not edgy at all. But then I realized I have a full pic album of me as a baby/child looking super dark. I could have been Wednesday Adams as a baby. 😂 People always think I’m dark. But I don’t feel like that inside.

I like to joke that I'm not edgy (or hipster). I'm who they are trying to emulate and failing.

I know I’m responding to the video for a second time, but I had an unrelated thought, and that is that society might think INTJ characters like this are cool and want to emulate them, but in real life, they’re “weirded out” and assume that these kinds of people are *trying* to be cool or “unique” for attention/clout. Maybe for some (and I’ve known some IXFP’s who are *really* concerned about being “original” and to “not fit in with the crowd”) but I suspect that for INTJ’s it’s more a result of being who they are 🤷🏻‍♀️

Who saw the new Wednesday and felt like, “that’s me!” Every thought aligned… And they have her as an INTJ?

I'm only really edgy when I'm upset about something... I often talk to myself while staring out of the window to deal with negative emotions

I was accused of being "too cool for school" by a teacher bc whenever it was a fieldtrip day I just didnt go to school, but i wasnt trying to be perceived or come off as anything i was just being me I genuinely did not care to sociallize I just wanted my straigh As. Same with getting an F with "participation" bc it wasn't academic 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m not edgy, I’m not goth, I’m just awkward and blunt (Fe PoLR) and have liked black since I was five!

Edgy because we effectively "minmax" our strengths and weaknesses, making a very skewed and pointy distribution graph of traits.

Recently, I've had to stop and ask a few questions in this vein. "Am I edgy?", "Should I say this?" because upon reflection, weak Fe has gotten me into a lot of trouble over the years because many people are sensitive, and administrative authorities don't like hurt feelings or general "unsafe-ness". In great part, I still dislike and resent Fe things. I know that for practical Te reasons, I need to get my Fe skills off the ground, but by sheer stubbornness, I can't. I don't mind Si as much. I'd rather avoid it, and delegate it to others, but I don't resent it anywhere near as much as Fe. Edginess is our natural state.

This dude has non-INTJ vibes. Am I missing something?

I mean, Wednesday Addams’s character was made to be stereotypically and cartoonishly edgy, but i do agree with Beth.

It's not even obvious that I am INTJ these days because I get along with everyone in my current university that the "edginess" doesn't even show up anymore.

But, back in my former school, I never got along with people and was treated differently so I guess the "edginess" was more apparent. I was also way more blunt and sarcastic than needed.

I was way more quiet and observant back then and smiled less. My "resting bitch face" was there for 90% of the time unless I was with my very few friends.
